The 3 Types of Content Workflows

[ad_1]

Episode 372

We’ve talked deeply about a lot of individual content strategies on the podcast and YouTube channel. But today, we’re going high-level.

We need to cover the 3 types of content creation workflows that go into content strategy and help you lay the foundation for making a bigger impact with your content. So, let’s dive into the content workflows that can help you be more organized and more strategic.

1. Content Creation Workflows

Whether you like a checklist, a Google Doc with step-by-step instructions, or a visual map, you need content creation systems. In the next lesson, I’ll take you through my content systems and show you the evolution of my processes. But this is a crucial step in planning your content so that you can repurpose it accordingly and be more strategic.

You also need processes to keep your content systems moving smoothly, such as storing future content ideas from comments/DMs on social media, YouTube videos, blog posts, and email replies.

If you set yourself up for success now, you’ll be better prepared to capture ideas and content as it comes at you instead of thinking about brand new ideas each time you want to create a new piece of content.

2. Batching Content Workflows

“Batching” simply means planning, recording, editing, scheduling, or publishing multiple pieces of content in one sitting. You’re doing the same task, but for numerous things.

It was a total phenomenon when I first started creating content. I didn’t understand how one person could make so much content in a week – without an entire team of people doing all the work.

Luckily, I’ve cracked the code on batching and now have systems I teach in Radical Repurposing that you can tweak and adjust to fit your content. I’ve linked to several resources below to help

3. Repurposing Content Workflows

I’m giving you a behind-the-scenes look at my workflows in the following lessons, including how I can repurpose my content well – it’s what I’m known for.

The entire foundation of the Radical Repurposing program is taking one thing and turning it into multiple pieces of content. The goal is to have your content be platform agnostic, so you’re not thinking, “Is this right for X platform?” You’re asking, “Where does it make sense to share this message, and how can I turn it into multiple pieces of content?”

Now that you know the 3 types of content creation workflows, you can start thinking about how you can implement these into your content so you can make a bigger impact.
